Contact form. When you use the "Got a question for us?" form, we collect your name, email address and message. We use this to reply to your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or taking steps at your request before entering a contract - for example, a private hire booking (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Weekly hours sign-up. If you sign up for our weekly hours email via the Google Form linked on this site, Google collects the information you enter there directly. Please see Google's own privacy policy for how that's handled - we only receive your email address to send the weekly update, and you can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us.
WhatsApp. If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is subject to WhatsApp's (Meta's) own privacy policy, since it happens on their platform rather than on this site.
The map. We embed a Google Map on our "find us" section showing our usual location. Loading this page connects your device to Google, which may process your data (such as your IP address) according to Google's own privacy policy. If you'd rather avoid that, our address is printed on the page and you can look it up in any maps app you like.
Fonts. The typefaces on this site are hosted on our own server, not Google's, so no data about you is sent to Google just for viewing the site.
We don't run analytics or advertising trackers ourselves. The embedded Google Map does load automatically on the "find us" section, and Google may set its own cookies or collect data (such as your IP address) as part of that - this happens under Google's own privacy policy, not ours, since we don't control what Google does with it.
We do not sell your personal data, and we don't share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.
Some of the services above (such as Web3Forms and Google) may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where that happens, those providers rely on their own safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.
Contact form submissions are retained by Web3Forms for a limited period (currently up to 30 days on the free plan, or up to a year on paid plans) before automatic deletion, in addition to whatever we keep in our own email inbox to answer your enquiry or fulfil a booking.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the personal data we hold about you, to object to our processing, and to request that we transfer your data elsewhere. To exercise any of these, email sipalgarve@gmail.com. You can also complain to Portugal's data protection authority, the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt), if you think we've mishandled your data.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
